Les routes du Philanthrope

The Philanthrope is the last French ship to be definitely identified with slaves on board in 1840.

The goals of our association are :
 promoting the history of the slave trade, slavery and their abolitions in Normandy.
 Settling this historical knowledge in the Norman memory places.
 Elaborating a touristic route around the historical and memory sites of Normandy. (“The Abolitions Routes”)
 Promoting and making people know more about the societies born from slavery and slave trade.
